To prevent gas leakage, gas detecting alarm device is the first choice and important security protection equipment. The internal core part is gas sensor, which can 24-hour monitor concentration of gas leakage without any interruption. Once gas concentration reaches to preset value, the gas detector will alarm immediately, prevent accidents from occurring efficiently.

1. Choose appropriate installment position.

a. The measure of detection area is the paramount consideration.In general,the detection radius of gas detector is 7.5meters, distance between each probe cannot exceed 15meters.

b. The installment position of probe depends on concentration of detected gas, if concentration of detected gas lighter than air, the detector should be installed 30-60cm from the ceiling. On the contrary, if detected gas heavier than air,the gas detector should be installed 30-60cm above the ground.

c. Generally speaking, the installation height of fixed gas detector should be around 150cm, to daily maintenance easily.

d. Prohibited installation position of gas alarm Please install gas detector away from the place where affected bysteam,lampblack,air intake,ventilator and other place that large air volume.Also it should away from the place where large water vapour,humidity>93RH. It is unworkable either that install gas detector in strong electromagnetic and compulsive.

2. Method of Installation

a. The sensor needs to be installed downward during installation, both electric wire locking nut and plug should be tighten completely. And cover the detector shell to reach explosion proof requirements.

b. If gas detector used for large area gas detection,which can adopt 30m2-50m2 to arrange.

C. Installation Height of Gas Detector If detected combustible and toxic gas heavier than air,the appropriateinstallation height of detector 0.3m-0.6m above the ground.If detected gas lighter than air, the installation height of detetct within 2m above release source.If detected combustible and toxic gas slightly heavier than air,the appropriate installation height of detector 0.5-1.0m below the release source.If detected combustible and toxic gas slightly lighter than air,the appropriate installation height of detector 0.5-1.0m above the release source.
