The Harm of Chlorine Gas Leakage

According to CCTV news, an accident of toxic gas leak happend in Aqaba port where located in Southern of Jordan on 27^th,June 2022. When the crane lifted a gas tank that stuffed 25tons CL2, which caused a container dropped and exploded, meanwhile, chemical gas leakage. This accident caused 14 people killed and 265 people wounded.

Chlorine widely used to disinfectant and water purifier, and it is yellow green under normal temperature. Due to it is toxic gas with strong pungent odor,when inhale CL2 through respiratory tract, which will contact with the moisture of surface of respiratory mucosa to produce hydrochloric acid and hypochloric acid, stimulate and corrupt the part.
